There are high temperature adapters, pipe straps, clip strips, junction boxes, tie wires, warning signs, and tape available. Nelson™ Heat Trace repair kits for mineral insulated cables are to be used with Nelson™ Heat Trace MI cables. There are splice kits, end cap kits and pulling eye kits available.

Features

  • QHT-3 high temperature adapter is used to heat sink the hot to cold connection as it passes through the insulation when the connection must be located outside the insulation
  • HPS-6 (0.0" TO 6.0" O.D. pipe), HPS-12 (6.5" TO 12.0" O.D. pipe) and HPS-16 (12.5" TO 16.0" O.D. pipe) stainless steel pipe banding straps are 0.38" wide with an end termination. They are used for strapping mineral insulated cables to pipe
  • HCS-3 (3.0" spacing) and HCS-4 (4.0" spacing) steel clip strips are 10.0' long and are used to hold mineral insulated cable to tank or vessel wall, or to provide uniform spacing in floor warming and snow melt applications
  • JBA NEMA 4 and 7, cast aluminum junction box has 3 0.75" NPT conduit entries. It is used for terminating mineral insulated cables and are suitable for use in hazardous locations
  • SS-05 stainless steel, 16-gauge tie wire is 160 yards. It is used to attach mineral insulated cables to pipes and is for use in corrosive environments
  • WS-100 weatherproof warning sign is used for cautioning maintenance personnel of the presence of electric heat tracing cable under the insulation. Attach them to the outside of pipe insulation in frequent intervals. They are yellow with black lettering
  • AT-50 aluminum foil tape is 2.0"" wide by 50 yards. It is used to heat sink (lower the sheath temperature of) heater cable or to attach thermostat sensing bulbs to pipes
  • SI-AA (B cable to B cable), SI-BB (K cable to K cable) and SI-BA (K cable to B cable) splice kits are used for splicing mineral insulated cables in the field. 2 splices per kit
  • EI-A (B cable) and EI-B (K cable) end cap kits are used for terminating mineral insulated cables in the field. 2 end caps per kit
  • PI-A (B cable) and PI-B (K cable) pulling eye kits are used for terminating mineral insulated cables when pulling through conduit. 2 pulling eyes per kit
