Our customer had a growing list of operator-generated control valve repairs, causing them a painful amount of unplanned maintenance spend. As a longtime customer, they looked to Experitec to recommend a solution to improve their situation. Our team discovered that loop performance/variability was the main issue. Furthermore, they could not predict valve problems due to their outdated pneumatic positioners. To address these challenges, Experitec initiated a multi-phased reliability journey to help them modernize their positioners and more—ultimately improving performance, reducing maintenance efforts, increasing product that was on-spec, and improving profitability.
