The St. Louis Post-Dispatch Names Experitec, Inc. A Winner Of The 2018 Top Workplace Award

June 25, 2018

St. Louis, MO – Experitec, Inc. has been awarded a 2018 Top Workplaces honor by The Post-Dispatch. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

Experitec’s vision is to be viewed by our partners (employees, customers, and our principal Emerson) as No Equal in the marketplace. Experitec truly believes our employees are critical to our success and emphasizes the importance of a culture that puts people first. Experitec would like to thank each and every employee for their helping to make us a Top Workplace. The recognition of being a “Top Workplace” confirms what I have felt since the first day I began working with Experitec."

As part of our culture of high performance, Experitec continuously invests in the development and growth in capabilities of each employee. Experitec has a long-history of being committed to exceeding the expectations of our customers. Experitec strives to be more than a vendor by establishing a partnership with our customers and together identifying ways we can help support and bring our customer’s value. Brad Fischer, Vice President Process Solutions Group, describes this relationship:

"Being geographically constrained necessitates a strategy of developing long term relationships and shared value with our customers. Our success hinges on our customer’s success and our sales approach has always started with seeking to understand their critical initiatives. Our customer centric selling approach has led to an unparalleled level of loyalty and intimacy in our industry and our sales leads often know more about our customers installations than they do. We place a greater level of importance on their results than the revenue we receive and that has created the foundation of our long-standing customer relationships and in turn creates great teamwork and collaboration internally. The shared goal of enabling customer success definitely makes Experitec a “Top Workplace."

To make a great company a Top Workplace takes more than one person or group and there is no doubt every department, from quote to cash, is a part of making Experitec a Top Workplace. The commitment of all Employees to quality work ensures we can serve our customers in the best way possible. Mark Franklin, Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, explained further

"Fulfilling the promise & commitment we make in the sales process & quotation arena will always be key to our success. I send a special thanks to all our “promise keepers” in Experitec’s order management, procurement, warehouse, valve shop and service groups for their Total Customer Commitment and for sustaining our position as a trusted and reliable partner with our customers."

A critical element to the success of Experitec are our highly talented, trained, knowledgeable, and experienced service providers. Our service providers are able to spend time understanding the complex needs of our customers and identifying areas we can provide valuable solutions to customer challenges and problems. Jack Ahlers, Vice President of Services, shared

"It takes a special group of highly motivated professionals to effectively navigate new technologies, new challenges, and a constantly changing market while demonstrating the energy and desire to keep learning and delivering excellent service for our customers. Our customer’s needs are complex, challenging, and at times stressful and inconvenient and it is a testament to the entire community of professionals in our organization that we can not only meet the external demands but commit to growing, training, and challenging our people in a manner that makes them proud to be part of this ‘Top Workplace’."

Experitec believes regular, transparent communication about the organization is critical to awareness and building trust. Being a transparent organization is much more than just fostering an open-door policy with Management, it’s about creating a work environment built on trust, respect, and commitment just like with your own family. Steve Ingram, Director of Finance, said it best

"Experitec has relentlessly pursued a culture of transparency by communicating operating performance and sharing financial information with its employees at all levels. None of this would be possible without the hard work and tireless efforts of our BI Reporting Team for creating and developing state-of-the-art reports and dashboards, our Accounting Team for its consistently accurate and timely reporting of all accounting data and Compensation/Benefits for delivering quality payroll and cutting-edge benefit plans for all of our employees. I am proud to say that I am part of an organization like Experitec that values its employees so much that everyone is treated as a trusted and reliable partner."

Experitec’s partnership with Emerson, provides us with a broad spectrum of business products, capabilities, and services that are used to serve and bring value to our customers. By combining the breadth of capabilities we can bring customers with the persistence of Experitec employees, we are able to think outside the box to overcome challenges and identify the best solution. Dan Armstrong, Senior Director of Measurement and RAS, shared

“The driving force behind my desire to work for Experitec has always been our people. A close second to the people are the capabilities they allow our organization to bring to bear with our customers to help them solve problems and deliver high levels of value. Over the last many years Experitec has grown its capabilities in many ways with new people, Business Units, tools, methodologies, and strategies. It has been the talented, team oriented and innovative spirit of each individual that has allowed us to successfully apply those new capabilities to the benefit of our valued customers. A huge THANK YOU to the entire organization for making Experitec a great place to work. Congratulations on this awesome recognition! I’m excited about what the future holds for us all."

It’s a big deal.” Experitec is truly honored our Employee’s feel we are a No-Equal workplace worthy of the honor of a Top Workplace Award. We are excited for the future and all the possibilities it holds with such a high performing, engaged, talented, and committed family of employees.
