Employee-owned Experitec, Inc., Named A 2019 St. Louis Top Workplace Award Winner For A Second Consecutive Year

St. Louis, MO – Experitec, Inc. is proud to announce that we have been named a 2019 Top Workplaces Award winner by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch for the second year in a row. The list recognizes local employers in the St. Louis area who are committed to creating and maintaining a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement through “effective leadership, strong values, clear direction and motivated workers” (St. Louis Post-Dispatch). Winners of the award are selected based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, effectiveness, connection, management, engagement, leadership, and the basics (work/life balance, pay, benefits, etc.).

This year’s program included 1,142 nominated organizations in the Greater St. Louis area. Based on participants’ responses, 150 companies ranging from small business to large corporations were named a Top Workplace. Experitec joins 74 other business in having the highest overall average score in the “small” category.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

What makes this award incredibly special is that the judges were Experitec’s employees. Winners of the award were selected based solely on the feedback provided by their employees. Experitec employee owners truly believe they work for an organization that creates a “Top Workplace” environment for its employees. Frank Snedeker, Sr. Compensation & Benefits Specialist shared,

“To be recognized with the Top Workplace Award for two consecutive years is powerful evidence of Experitec’s culture and engagement in the workplace. This award is a validation tool for current and future employees. It’s a true testament to the dedication and commitment of our leaders and employees throughout the organization. Now that we are an employee-owned company, we all have an opportunity to enrich our culture even more.”

Experitec strives to set themselves apart from other organizations through living out their core values of Driven, Positive, Collaborative. Business Administration and Reporting Analyst, Julie Harrison, explained further

“I have been at Experitec for over five years and in this short time we’ve been honored to receive not one but two Top Workplaces Awards. I was at my previous organization for over ten years and we never received an award of this caliber. Experitec truly lives up to their core values and strives to be No Equal in all aspects. The hard-working attitude, honest employees and upbeat morale set Experitec apart from other organizations. Experitec values a balance between work and personal lives, but also creates a culture where employees are able to foster team building and create lifelong friendships. It truly is a Top Workplace!”

After being recognized as a St. Louis Top Workplace for the first time in 2018, Experitec was hopeful to make the list again this year based on the organization’s unwavering commitment to employees, customers, and principal, Emerson to be seen as Experitec No Equal. In the last year, Experitec has become employee-owned and trained its entire workforce on the mechanics of its Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) to bring clarity and understanding to its new owners. In conjunction with ESOP training, Experitec also developed and trained the whole organization on Workplace Respect which focused on promoting a culture of accountable and empowered employees who respect one another and address any violations of respect in the workplace while encouraging a culture of inclusion, collaboration, understanding, and the building of relationships and learning about others.

These efforts along with Experitec’s continued focus on supporting a high performing, highly engaged workforce led to Experitec receiving global recognition by being named a Gallup Great Workplace Award winner for 2019. To recognize this great achievement and show their appreciation to their employees, the Leadership Team decided to celebrate by organizing various events throughout the workday that included breakfast, lunch, raffles, chair massages, and receiving several gifts.

Experitec is truly honored to be named a St. Louis Top Workplace by our employees for a second year in a row. We are extremely proud of all our employee owners who make us No Equal and look forward to sharing more achievements like this in the future with our Experitec family.
